This episode covers the first part of Darlie’s direct appeal with a new attorney, J. Stephen Cooper. The appeal contains 14 Points of Error pertaining to Darlie’s trial. In this episode, we cover the Point of Error #1, the longest Point of Error in the direct appeal document. Here’s what we find out in this first Point of Error:

  • Surprising evidence that potentially implicates Darin Routier, Darlie’s husband.
  • A major conflict of interest with Darlie's lead attorney, Mulder
  • Mistakes by the court that could overturn her conviction

Was Darlie really given a fair trial? Did the fact that her attorney, Mulder, who also represented Darlie’s husband Darin, allow Darlie to be convicted? What about this evidence about Darin?

Season 2 of the Beach House 34 Podcast is the Darlie Routier Trial Transcripts reading, including bond hearings, pre-trial, the entire trial, and the post-trial. On YouTube, it's in its own playlist (link below).
